Cleveland: An inside look at the RNC

The 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland invited delegates from the states and territories, such as Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands, to nominate the Republican presidential candidate.

The city of Cleveland advertised the event using posters, banners and the Progressive Stadium jumbotron. Cleveland put up banners on lamp posts with the phrase, “We the people welcome you to Cleveland.”

Volunteers and employees from Ohio worked together to keep security tight at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Police officers, state troopers and other security officials patrolled within and around the arena in downtown Cleveland.

The Republican National Committee provided entertainment for delegates and others who attended the RNC.
