LDS temple vandalized in Meridian, Idaho

REXBURG — The Meridian, Idaho, temple site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was vandalized during the weekend.

The temple is under construction, and the Ada County Sheriff’s office said the vandals broke into the site between 6 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday, according to Local News 8.

The vandals used black spray paint to graffiti the walls with racist symbols and anti-religious messages. Construction adhesive was also found on the walls and floors, according to Local News 8.

The vandals caused at least $500 worth of damage, according to East Idaho News.

If anyone has information about the vandalism or vandals, contact Det. Justin Elliot at 208-577-3702, according to East Idaho News.
