Madison Memorial Hospital New Machines

The Madison Memorial Hospital has a new MRI machine and a Prescription Dispensary for Madison County. Director of Radiology, Harley McCormick explains.

“The MRI machine is a way of imaging patients looking for any type of abnormalities any type of disease process,” said McCormick.

This is designed to help the clients’ overall exposure while using the machine.

“We have a larger bore, which means that there is a bigger space for the patients to fit inside of the MRI, which will help with claustrophobic patients and also with the large patients,” said McCormick.

For nervous patients, new functions have been placed to decrease tension with the lighting of the room and music selection.

To make the hospital more convenient and creative, it has installed a new pill dispensary for their patients.

“It’s a automated Cabinet that dispenses prescriptions inside of the machine. It’s available I believe in 30 different States in the United States and we’re the only hospital in the state of Idaho to have this machine,” said Sullenger.

Many patients coming back from the ER can get medication anytime, even at 2 a.m. Reporting from Madison Memorial Hospital, this is Alexander Aguila, Scroll Digital.
