REXBURG, Idaho—The Teton Dam Marathon will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2009 in Rexburg, Idaho. This year’s races, which include the full marathon, half marathon, 10k, 5k, and a fun run, will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Runners have spent the past few months preparing and training for the race. Local gros and clubs, including the Teton Road Runners and local gym clubs have been working together to prepare for the race. Others have chosen to train individually or with a gro of friends.

“I have participated in races in the past, but this is the first time I will be competing in the half marathon event. I have enjoyed training over the past cole of months, even though it has been challenging at times. Now I just have to hope that my training comes in handy when the race rolls around this weekend,” commented BYU-Idaho student Danny Fife.

Although the race is only several days away, individuals still have one day to register. A fee of $15 will be applied to late entries, and all entries must be received by June 10th. Still, interested individuals are invited to hurry and join the races. Entry fees vary from $3 to $50, depending on the length of the event. All entrants will receive a ticket to a potato bake dinner the night before the race, a race shirt, timing chip, and a bag of freebies from local sponsors.
