Home Campus Ser Bowl Celebration at BYU Idaho

Ser Bowl Celebration at BYU Idaho

Ser bowl 49 was played last Sunday and BYU Idaho students were excited to celebrate. The Seattle Seahawks played the New England patriots in a close game full of twists and turns.

NFL reporter Adam Schein claims that this game was “the single wildest ser bowl finish ever.” With 26 seconds left in the game, the Seahawks chose to throw the football from the patriots 1-yard line even though they could have barreled it in with their unstoppable ground force, Marshawn Lynch.

The final score came to 28-24 with the patriots in the lead. I found that many of the students at BYU Idaho were rooting for the Seahawks and were pretty bummed with the final score.

Although the loss was tough, Seahawks fans remain true.

“You know, its heart breaking but the truth stands still. I still love the hawks. And I will always be a fan because that’s where I belong. I am a huge fan and I will remain a huge fan.”

On the other side, the patriots obviously played a good game. Quarter back, Tom Brady, has now won a total of four ser bowls, as well as three ser bowl MVP awards. Brady has thrown the most touchdown passes in ser bowl history. Patriot fans were excited about the win and more than willing to share.

“I’m so stoke right now, you have no idea. I hate the Seahawks. So the fact that they lost was phenomenal.”

You could say that the ser bowl was well watched at BYU Idaho this year.
