What on earth do I do when it snows?

Rexburg has a reputation for being absurdly cold and receiving a piles of snow every winter. The snow dampens a lot of outdoor activities and attitudes.

So what can be done during the winter? What fun is there to be had during an apocalyptically cold weather? Three BYU-Idaho students, who have braved a Rexburg winter, shared their thoughts.

“Me and my friends will make solid snow forts by pouring ice water on the snow forts after you build them and having snowball fights,” said Natalie Lundquist, a junior studying communication.

Another student shared an interesting way to make snowmen.

“Build a snowman up, like a really fat one, and then sculpt him down and putting abs on him to make a bodybuilder snowman,” said Daniel O’Dair, a sophomore studying communication.

Makaley Specht, a freshman studying psychology, has not been in Rexburg for very long, but she shared her ideas on things you can do in the snow.

“Snow angels and fun patterns in the courtyard area, and that was good,” Specht said. “The gardens are always really pretty… to see the lights and stuff.”
